   Dear Peter,

   How are you? I hope you are studying hard for the exam next week. My class just returned from a trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizone. Canyon is part of the Grand Canyon National Park and it was formed by the Colorado River over millions of years. We spent a week here and I don’t want to leave. Although it is summer, the weather at night is quite cool because the area is 2000 meters above sea level. The first day, the rangers led us to walk along this canyon. He talked about the history of this place. He also talked about the early settlers who lived here from the Stone Age. That’s all I have time to tell you. What are you going to do during the summer vacation? Write me after the exam is finished!

   As soon as I arrived in place, I was struck by the beauty of the town. The streets were lined with gorgeous cherry blossom trees in full bloom, making the whole town look like a sea of pink. The air was crisp and fresh, and I could smell the sweet scent of the flowers.
