1. Nowadays, face-to-face communication is being replaced by online chats using social media applications, such as Facebook, Zalo. It seems to me that the benefits these technologies bring to our lives are overshadowed by their disadvantages. In terms of benefits, social networking sites have made it much easier for us to stay in touch with our loved ones, regardless of geographical location. For example, international students can stay in daily contact with their family and friends using the video calling feature of Zalo, Facebook or many other apps. Social media is also a powerful tool in communication and business. In the age of 4.0 technology, companies can update their customers on newly released products or promotions by posting their posts on Facebook or Instagram, which saves a lot of time. Time and cost compared to media advertising methods in newspapers or magazines.

   Despite the above benefits, I personally believe that when it comes to communication, social media does more harm than good. The overuse of social media reduces the quality of interpersonal communication. Many people are so addicted to social networking sites that they are constantly glued to their screens all day without really paying attention to the people around them. Frequent use of social media also affects speaking and writing styles, especially among young people. Today, many teenagers have a habit of using acronyms, often used in text messages or social media posts. Many people post as unhealthy vulgar posts, vulgar comments that cause controversy with each other, causing conflicts and fights. In short, although social networking is beneficial, it also brings us many disadvantages, so let’s use social networks for the right purpose.
