1. Nowadays, smartphones are getting popular because they are very useful. They have made our lives easier and more comfortable. I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Smartphones can be used to communicate with people at anytime and anywhere, which is very convenient for people who live far away from their families or who have busy work schedules. Also, by using smartphones, we have information at our fingertips such as news, dictionary and weather report. With the help of GPS system, it doesn’t take much effort to find the directions to somewhere. Moreover, these devices are sophisticated enough to combine many functions in one phone; for example, a smartphone can be used as a camera, alarm clock and even a netbook. One more advantage of smartphones is that they provide entertainment by listening to music, playing games and watching videos. By just downloading applications on your phones, you can enjoy these things easily without having to bring anything else along with you.  However, there are also some disadvantages of using smartphones too much such as affecting one’s eyesight or sleeping quality by looking at screen all day long. Smartphones can also distract us from studying or working when we use them while doing those activities. As a result, we cannot concentrate on what we are doing at that moment.
