1. Câu điều kiện loại 2:

   Cấu trúc: (1) If + S + V (quá khứ đơn), S + would/could/might + V

   → Cách dùng:Diễn tả những giả định trái ngược với thực tế ở hiện tại.

   Cấu trúc: (2) If + S + were + S + would/could/might + V

   → Ex: If I were you, I would accept their offer.

   (Nếu tôi là bạn, tôi sẽ chấp nhận lời đề nghị của họ.)

   → Cách dùng: Dùng để thay thế cho lời khuyên.

   Giải:

   1. She works hard, so she earns a lot of money

   → If she worked hard, she would earn a lot of money.

   2. She is not a millionaire, so she can’t buy a house in Tokyo

   → If she were a millionaire, she could buy a house in Tokyo.

   3. I advised him not to smoke

   → If I were you, I would advise him not to smoke.

   4. He can’t find a good job because he doesn’t know how to use a computer.

   → If he knew how to use a computer, he could find a good job.

   5. Today isn’t Sunday. The pupils can’t go swimming.

   →  If today were Sunday, the pupils could go swimming.

   6. People drive very fast; that’s why there are so many accidents.

   →  If people didn’t drive very fast, there wouldn’t be so many accidents.

   7. It’s raining, so we can’t have lunch in the garden.

   →  If it were raining, we could have lunch in the garden.
