   When it comes to a TV program that I deeply remember, I’d say that “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” is the one. It’s a game show where people try to beat a triviachallenge for a grand prize worth hundreds of millions in VND. I hardly watch it nowadays, but it used to be that new episodes were shown every Tuesday evening.

   In the program, there was a differentcontestant being featured every episode. Sometimes, there would be a special episode where public figures get to compete, but most of the time, it was just ordinary people like you and me. The contestants had to answer questions about practically every topic under the sun, which made preparation almost impossible. If somebody answers correctly, the reward will grow, but the difficulty also increases with each question.

   You could not afford to slip up because you instantly lose with just one wrong answer. When that happens, some of the prize money will be gone too. Anybody who sat in the contestant chair, which happened to be called the “hot seat”, was under a tremendous amount of pressure.

   This program was able to leave an indelible mark on me as it was so hard to win the grand prize. As far as I recall, no one’s ever taken on the final question successfully. But thanks to watching it, I’ve been able to learn so much. Now I can talk to other people about basically anything.
