1. One of my most memorable holidays was a trip to a beach resort in Thailand. I was excited to soak up the sun, relax by the ocean, and try some new Thai dishes. However, something unexpected happened on the second day of my trip. A tropical storm hit the area, and heavy rain poured down for hours.

   At first, I was disappointed that my beach vacation was ruined, but I decided to make the best of the situation. I spent the day reading a book in my hotel room and enjoying room service. In the evening, I met some other guests who were also stuck indoors and we ended up playing board games and chatting until late at night.

   Although the unexpected storm changed my plans, I was grateful for the opportunity to connect with other travelers and have a cozy day inside. The next day, the sun came out again, and I was able to enjoy the beach and the rest of my vacation as planned. This experience taught me that unexpected events can sometimes lead to new and enjoyable experiences, even on holiday.
