2. * Quy tắc 1:

   – Although + S + V_1 + ….., S + V_2 …. (V_1 và  V_2 được chia theo chủ ngữ và thì)

   -> despite + V_ing …,S + V_nt

   VD: althought Tom was a poor student.he studied very well

   -> In spite of Tom beiing a poor student,he studied very well

   * Quy tắc 2:

   – althought + N + tobe + ADJ ,S + V ….

   -> despite + (the) + ADJ + N,…

   VD:  although the weather was bad,she went to scholl on time

   -> Despite the bad weather,she went to scholl on time

   * Quy tắc 3:

   – although + đại từ nhân xưng,tên riêng + tobe + ADJ …

   -> Despite + sở hữu (tính từ sở hữu/tên riêng’s) + N,….(đổi adj thành N bỏ tobe)

   VD: although he was sick,he went to school

   -> Despite his sickness,he went to school

   LƯU Ý:

   Although = Though = even though

   Despite = in spite of
