Floods are one of the most dangerous natural disasters. This happens when too much water accumulates in any area. This usually happens due to heavy rain. Central Vietnam is very prone to floods and people living here have had to suffer a lot of hardships and losses. The supply of food and goods was also limited during the flood. Most recently, floods in central Vietnam in 2020 caused massive damage. In October and early November 2020, three floods, four storms and a series of landslides in central Vietnam killed 159 people and left 71 missing. Not only the government, but many people from different cities support Central Vietnam in many ways. Several reforestation projects have been implemented to prevent future flood damage. Trees absorb and store rainwater, reducing runoff and sediment buildup after storms. There should also be an efficient system to store excess rainwater.
