1. Hi Linda!

   It was a Saturday, the autumn air was crisp, the sky was blue with white clouds, and the sun was warm but not oppressive. That makes us all happy and enthusiastic about the task ahead. We broke into four groups, each of ten persons, according to the class president’s assignment, and divided ourselves to carry brooms, rubbish bags, and garbage cans. At the same time, we make sure to wear caps, masks, and long clothing to ensure that the task goes smoothly. Our class took turns walking along the asphalt road going to the school, collecting bottles, plastic bags, garbage paper, and so on, then placing them neatly in garbage bags and depositing them in a trash can.

   Those who carry brooms clean up small garbage that cannot be picked up by hand, then scoop it up with a shovel and place it in a bag. We cleared the road in just an hour and a half because of our hard work and efficiency, making the teachers really happy and applauding us all before taking us out for a drink as a treat for our labor and environmental consciousness.
   
   Even though I had to pick up all types of filthy waste, it was a very meaningful day for me because, as a result of this part of my efforts, the living and learning environment around me has gotten considerably cleaner.

    So, despite my exhaustion, I’m always proud that I’ve done something useful
