1. I think that the most important subject at school is life. It teaches you how to take care of yourself and prepare yourself for the outside world, while also giving you the tools necessary to deal with all of the curveballs life will inevitably throw at you. It’s a class that should be offered as soon as possible because it’s never too early to learn how to do things like cook a healthy meal, manage your finances, pay your taxes and make sure your bills are paid on time.
   In a way, I suppose it’s a combination of every other subject available on campus. It uses math to calculate your budget; English to make sure you’re communicating properly in business situations; history to learn from the mistakes of others; science to ensure that you’re treating your body well with exercise and nutrition (and possibly psychology if you’re seeking professional help); even art, music and theater to keep you sane and have some fun along the way.
   There are plenty of reasons why learning about life is vital, but I think the most important one is that this is the knowledge that can’t be taught by anyone else, you have to learn it yourself through trial and error. The sooner you start, the better off you’ll be.
