1. I always remember the first time I’ve seen a huge storm. It was a dark and stormy afternoon in 2010. Thunder crashed outside, and the dark room was briefly illuminated by a flash. I turned on the TV and flicked to the weather forecast. I pinpointed where we were on the map and realized the storm eye was heading straight towards us. Over three hundred lightning flashes have been recorded in the area and there have been reports of tornado activity nearby. It started raining heavily with strong winds. I could hear the pling-pling-pling of hail bouncing off the windows. My mother and I had to close all the windows carefully and stay together in the kitchen, waiting for the storm to stop. Then, as soon as the storm started, it stopped. The sky turned yellow after a tornado. So lucky that we were still safe.
