Have you ever wondered why people around you take the advantage of time well even though they don’t have enough time to work? Or have you ever asked yourself “What will you do when you have free time?”. These are some of the most common questions which are seen in our daily life to demonstrate how important it is to have a hobby-particular interest for a different purpose. However, I had found that there is a strong passion, enthusiasm, connection between me and soccer, which I had played for a long time since I move to higher school. Being raised in a small town outside of a big separated city, my dad already taught me what is football and how to play it when I was still young. In the beginning, I was still struggling to control the ball when my family couldn’t afford to buy me the correct soccer shoes. Since then, I’ve tried my best every day to make progress as well as making a good mutual understanding when competing with different children in my neighborhood with my dad. Days by days, you know what? When I enrolled in a primary school, there was a football club that was opened for children who had an interest in this activity, and without any hesitation, I asked my dad to register me as a member of that club and a few days later, I became the first boy in that club officially. The club was opened usually every Saturday and Sunday, also it allowed each child to go with a member that they want to play with as a vice coach in the club. At first, I’m confident with my skills at that time (I already had 3 years experienced in this sport) so I just practice and play on my own. However, after 3 months of playing, I realized that my dad should have been beside me to encourage and improve my skill furthermore so I asked him to spend the afternoon on the weekend to go and practice with me. During my time at the club, I already learn 3 valuable lessons that football help me to notice. The first thing is “Patience”. In a football match, you may not know the playing style or strategy of the opponent’s team so you must spend about 5 to 10 minutes observing and calculating the best way to get the ball and score. However, when your team already controlled the ball, you must be patient and wait for your teammate to pass the ball to you and “Goal!” 1-0 for your team. Second, “Don’t count your chicken before they hatch”. At the minute 80′ of the match, you are losing 2-3 or 2-4 but these scores don’t tell the meaning of the match when you still have 10 minutes ahead. My teacher taught me that never stop believing in yourself and never stop trying your best to reverse the position of the match. Additionally, when your team is beyond the line of winning, never lose the concentration before the whistle ends the game sounded. In the previous big tournaments like the world cup or Euro, we’ve seen many strong teams already get the advantage at the beginning of the match but in the end, they lost just because they were subjective with the statistic then. Therefore, it’s the alert bell to remind ourselves that nothing lasts forever, in football as well as in our daily life activity. Finally, nothing is for free even though it’s not a good thing. Never regret and blame yourself as well as your team when you lose a match. It’s the team’s fault in the strategy, people, persistence to adapt to the match. It’s important to know what is the mistake in the match and more importantly, your team should try to avoid it the next and following matches. Those are 3 lessons that I’d learned and up to know, it’s still important in my real life, especially the first and second lessons. Up to this moment, I’ve stuck with this hobby for over 10 years and it helps me to develop my own characteristic, emotions as well as behaving manner. Because of these, besides the subjects at school, I also spend most of my time practicing and learning more about this hobby to improve myself even more.
A hobby is one of the most important things we should have in our lives. It is something that you enjoy doing, something that brings relief from the daily grind and allows you to relax. Of all my hobbies in the world, I like music the most. For me, music is the best hobby ever. You should look around and you can see that music is everywhere. I enjoy music and I listen to it every single day. There are a lot of different styles of music for you to choose from and enjoy. If I am in good mood, I prefer to listen to some energy rock music that keeps me happy and full of power. If I am tired, I chose some calm, relaxing songs. Music can speak, through music, people can express feelings and emotions. When you hear something that looks like you, that you understand easily, you start to love it. There are several different ways to enjoy music as your hobby. When you discover an artist or musician that you are satisfied with, it’s clear that you want to
Collect all of their works. Not only listening to music, but a music collection is also a great hobby to have, too. Music is a hobby that has no boundaries. It makes the world smaller. Without music, life would be a mistake
