1. I agree that online classes in English are a great way to learn, and they really do have their advantages. The first time I took an online class, it was a course on technical writing at the university where I work. Each week we had to complete an assignment and then post it to the class discussion board for feedback from classmates. In addition to getting help with my writing, I got to see how others approached the assignment, and this was helpful because even though we all had different levels of experience as writers, we were still able to find something new to learn from each other. What’s more, when you’re learning English online, you can always go back and reread or re-listen to things you aren’t sure about. You can even get together with people outside of class for group exercises or study sessions if you want a little more practice or if you want something beyond what’s in the course material. That said, there are some drawbacks too: If you’re not used to taking classes online and don’t have much experience navigating the Internet or typing your comments into a forum, it might be difficult at first. Also, there can be some miscommunication with people who speak different levels of English but that’s also true when learning in person!
